Albion, IN - The Noble County Economic Development Corporation (EDC) board of directors has hired Gary Gatman as executive director effective February 24.
“We had outstanding interviews with all candidates and feel we have chosen a good leader to take the Noble County EDC to the next level.,” said Kendallville Mayor SuzAnne Handshoe, president of the EDC board. There were about a dozen applicants for the position vacated by Rick Sherck’s retirement in December.

KENDALLVILLE — For students on the verge of not graduating high school or thinking of dropping out, East Noble is doing more to get those students connected with local employers in an effort to encourage them to finish school and get jobs when they’re done.
With over 25 years of experience, including 16 years with the Indiana Board of Tax Commissioners / Department of Local Government Finance, Tony Garrison will share his knowledge and offer his expertise to help Noble County businesses, elected officials, and supporting staff members learn more about tax abatement and best practices.
Kendallville, IN - Noble New Way will host a day-long workshop March 17 to engage the community in the principles of Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD).
Noble New Way is led by a group of volunteers who believe the way to transform a community is by building relationships, learning what talents, skills and abilities people have, then enabling them to use them.
